Microsoft has been the chosen app creator and developer for several COVID-19 Vaccine Management Platforms that also focus on tracking vaccination records and applying for the program for states like Iowa and New Jersey. However, several complaints have been surfacing since the past weeks that certain users were not able to proceed with their applications due to the faulty service.
Users have been heading to voicing out their problems and issues with the COVID-19 vaccination to social media, Twitter, which have accumulated many of the frustrated applicants for the vaccine service. These problems have occurred on systems in which Microsoft's development team had worked, and it is the one who is under fire for these frustrations.
Since the vaccine's release and availability since last December 2020, Microsoft had played a proactive role in its dissemination and awareness, alongside its co-founder and former CEO, Bill Gates, that campaign for its use. Microsoft has also taken part in direct measures such as existing its assistance in the form of developing applications for its functions.
Microsoft COVID-19 Vaccination Tool: Faulty and Aiming to Fix the Issues
According to Bloomberg, Microsoft has recently released an issue alongside the District of Columbia, whose vaccination page and management platform has malfunctioned for three straight days in the past week. Microsoft has admitted that both parties have "fallen short" and would soon address and solve the issues in its systems.
Recently, Washington DC's DC Health agency has released a tweet, saying that they understand the frustrations of users when accessing the service, and seeing that it malfunctions upon use. The agency has made sure that these online appointments have already been booked and already have a schedule for users of the Microsoft service.
Issues including Captcha Verification, Phone Hotline that is Not a Working Number, Slow Loading Speeds, and other problems were experienced and listed by a user which has been agreed to by other users. Moreover, the problem is met by HTTP Error 503, which automatically whites out the entire page and cancels the login or verification page.
Users Are Frustrated on Microsoft's Service
Several users have taken their complaints and rants about Microsoft's service in Twitter's platform, where a thread has opened up and have gathered frustrated users that also complain of the service. The COVID-19 Vaccine Management Platform's flawed service has created several problems for all vaccine aspirants and state health agencies until now.
There are no updates or news if the service has been restored or improved for users, and if the states like Iowa, New Jersey, Washington, and others have their management platforms already fixed by the company. Microsoft's service is crucial in these times, especially as the regular supplies of vaccines have been steadily coming to the country.
