Famous and in-demand console PS5 will be hitting the shelves again, according to rumors. A tipster has claimed that an employee at Currys saod that the tech retailer could get PS5 stock next week.
PS5 restock in Currys
According to AllPS5Restocks, the stock watcher, a staff member of Currys claimed that the sought-after console would be released on Feb. 24.
The insider also claimed that Argos won't get stock, despite the rumors that the high-street retailer would restock it.
Posting on Twitter, they said that some people are saying Argos will drop around next week but they are not sure about it tough and that a Currys employee said that a stock will be available on Feb. 24 and on Feb. 23 it will be available on Game UK.
The news comes as thousands of games went to Argos and Smyths this week hoping for a chance to grab the console. At Smyths, the PS5 consoles was dropped on Feb. 19 before 8:30 a.m. and they were sold out within minutes.
Shoppers were also vocal on social media to talk about the restock of PS5, which came when none of them were aware and took them aback.
A stock tracker updated the consumers and said that all PlayStation 5 stock for Smyths is now allocated. It then added that all preorders will be dispatched between 22nd and 28th February and it added that Smyths says expected stock in Feb. 2021 still, and they may have a final small drop before March.
A lot of customers flocked to respond after the news of the restock was posted, with some of them admitting that they don't stand a chance in getting a PS5. But some are hopeful that they can finally buy the console.
PS5 restock in Best Buy
Shoppers hunt for restocks continue, the PS5 which costs $499n and PS5 Digital Edition which costs $399 have been sold out across the United States.
Since there are rumors about Currys restock, rumors about Best Buy are now circulating but it is not set in stone. Restocks may become more frequent as retailers get inventory so it is best for people to keep checking on retails stores and refresh them so there is a higher chance in buying a PS5.
PS5: Where to buy
As of Feb. 19, there are no PS5 consoles available for purchase in the United States. Best Buy had a restock on the morning of Feb. 19 but it was sold out within minutes.
Fortunately, a regular PS5 stock tipster said that millions more consoles will arrive every month through April so if you missed the latest restock, more inventory is on the way.
According to Digitimes, Sony is planning to ship between 16.8 million and 18 million PS5 units in 2021. This is because there is an increase in the supply stream of the units.
