Getting PS5 stock available before the year ends looks like something really hard to do but word out is that the PS5 restock 2021 will include 18 million units in 2021! AMD has reportedly secured a deal to make custom CPUs for the PS5 so the production could be ramped up in only a couple of weeks.

According to an article by Digitimes, Sony has reportedly managed to ship a massive 3.4 million PS5 consoles within its four weeks of launching. This is testament to just how in demand the next generation console actually is.
While this is definitely a good achievement, gamers are more concerned on what is going to happen over the next few days and when is the PS5 available stock going to come out. A report by BGR notes the good news saying Sony is planning to ship out 16.8 to 18 million units this 2021. This means that the consoles would become really available within only a few more weeks.

According to the article by Tom's Guide, Digitimes then explains that AMD has finally secured additional capacity coming from the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company or TSMC to ramp up its production for the custom 7nm CPUs being used for the PS5. This production will jump a whopping 40-50% as its result meaning AMD will then be able to manufacture from 1.4 to 1.5 million CPUs this 2021.
This obviously creates a ripple effect as the more CPUs that AMD is capable of making, the more PS5s Sony will be able to produce meaning the more people will be able to buy online. Some time earlier this year, reports had noted that Sony wanted to be able to ship out from 5 to 6 million PS5 consoles this coming March 2021. The number was then changed to 10 million units as the total demand for this next-generation console then grew ahead of its launch.
How do you get a PS5?
If the report given by Digitimes was accurate, this would mean that Sony was actually able to ship out 3.4 million consoles from November to December and is expected to ship out another 10 million consoles before the official end of the next quarter. Sony is reportedly ramping up its production of the PS5s this year and could look at an increase in PS5 stock online next year.
