BioWare has fulfilled the wants and needs of fans and gamers after rumors and speculations have surrounded a remastered edition of their hit game, "Mass Effect," who would be getting a Legendary Edition release. The game's trilogy has already concluded last 2012 with "Mass Effect 3" with its last consoles being the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360.
The PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, along with Xbox One and Xbox Series S and X can play the old versions of the game via backward compatibility, it would still suffer from the change of resolution as it is not HDR yet. Moreover, next-generation gaming has already transitioned to 2160x1440p resolution, which is also known as the current standard 4K.
For this reason, BioWare, one of the game's major developers, has announced and made possible, a remastered edition of the title's original trilogy, from "Mass Effect 1 to Mass Effect 3," to be enjoyed for new consoles.

While no versions would be released for the brand new gaming consoles, it would be available to be played via backward compatibility on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S and X.
Apart from the trilogy itself, BioWare would be including several other merchandises from the game that would be included in the different packages it would offer.
