Many people are going crazy when the new PS5 was launched. Because many fans are visiting Walmart's website, it went down because of the huge traffic on Nov. 12, which is the launch day of Sony's PlayStation 5.
Because of the situation, the retail corporation promised that it will split up its inventory. Right now, Walmart is releasing PS5 consoles four times a day; 9:00 a.m., 3:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. However, it seems like the giant company's plan didn't work since its official website still crashed many times and the inventory's stocks went out instantly. Although this is the case, Walter still managed to inform its buyers through its official Twitter account and product pages.
Although, PS5 is currently out-of-stock from Walmart, BestBuy, GameStop, and Target, you can still check the Amazon page which might have new stocks available soon.
Where to buy cheap PS5s
What's great about Walmart is that it didn't try to upsell shoppers on expensive bundles. As of the moment, the retail company is selling both digital-only and model with Blu-ray for $400 and $500 respectively.
According to CNET's latest report, just click here if you're looking for the $399 PS5 Digital Edition. It has an 825GB SSD but doesn't have an optical drive.
On the other hand, click here if you want the PS5 with Blu-ray drive, which costs $499.
Resellers offer PS5 for $32,000!
It seems like some people are taking advantage of the insufficient PS5 stocks in the market. According to CBS News' latest report, some resellers on eBay are offering PlayStation 5 consoles for up to $32,000!
Xbox Series X is also sold for $8,000, which is more than double the official price. However, although the price is so expensive, there are still some people that are purchasing the over-priced items.
This just shows that gaming is getting even more popular during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Not only that, but it also means that there is a shift to online retail that is currently happening.
"A new console release is always exciting - it only happens every five to seven years," said Jordan Minor, a PCMag software and gaming analyst, as reported by CBS News.
"Their rollout was kind of messed up, although whenever a new console launches it's a mess," he added.
