Worksport announced a powerful collaboration with Hercules Electric Mobility for a new solar truck bed tonneau system. Because of the agreement, the company is now Hercules' Tier One Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM ).
Mailchi.mp reported that the new system, called TerraVis, will be used for the U.S.-based car manufacturer's upcoming Alpha Electric Pickup, which generated over $27 million in early customer reservations. It was also revealed that the partnership between the two companies is expected to generate around $70 million in future revenues.
The partnership was already revealed in Worksport's previous news release, stating that the official statement from the EV truck manufacturer and the agreement's additional information is expected to be disclosed in mid-September. The companies' collaboration followed TerraVis' first public disclosure.
What is TerraVis
TerraVis is the first high-tech folding truck bed tonneau cover system to be a fusion of advanced storage, cutting edge solar power, and delivery. The new product utilizes the power of more sustainable and renewable energy while taking advantage of a standard pickup truck's practical capabilities.

Steven Rossi, Worksport's CEO, said that because of TerraVis, the company was able to enter the most exciting period since inception.
The collaboration will help Worksport grow
Because of the announcement's delay, Worksport and Hercules widened their agreement regarding manufacturing collaboration, merging and up-listing on a senior exchange, as well as TerraVis system's additional deployments.
"Although we understand the delay of over one month is challenging in today's volatile market, we appreciate shareholders patience in allowing us to arrive at today's milestone," said Rossi.
"We will continue to work tirelessly in progressing our business and keeping our valued shareholders up to date," added the CEO, as reported by Mailchi.mp.
Rossi also explained that collaboration's value is expected to play an essential role in Worksport's development and future growth.
On the other hand, the TerraVis solar truck bed system was said to be exclusively crafted and configured for Hercules' advance Alpha EV pickup truck. It will also be the first system to provide multiple configurations for sport and work, and meaningful source of recharge. The new partnership combines structural tonneau covers and factory installed solar charging, with a new kind of highly-performing pickup truck.
