Amazon is on the rise, so is its CEO Jeff Bezos. Bloomberg reported that he has added a whopping $13 billion to his fortune within just a single day. How does the tech CEO, as well as other richest people worldwide, protect their wealth?
To protect the wealth of these "elites" as the media would label them comes with investments, and with the current situation of the world's business landscape, hiring agencies that protect their riches is necessary.
Jeff Bezos, for instance, reportedly has a bulletproof panel installed in his office according to Business Insider. These cost $180,000 to install and can protect against multiple shots.
The amount Jeff spends for wealth protection also has not changed over the years, Isobel Hamilton wrote on the Business Insider report.
There is a prominent celebrity protection company that is said to protect the wealth of over 90 of the globe's richest families and those at a high risk. These include Bezos, the Beckham family, and Elizabeth Taylor.
How much did his wealth increase?
On Monday, he reportedly added this to his net worth, providing the largest jump for a person within just a day since the Bloomberg Billionaires Index launched in 2012.
His company, Amazon.com also surged an unprecedented 7.9 percent, the highest jump since December 2018, amidst rising interests for web shopping, which are presently at more than 70 percent increase this year.
This 56-year-old CEO and one of the world's richest individuals, has already recorded a total of $74 billion worth of fortune this year, increasing this to $189.3 billion despite the U.S. heading toward an economic slowdown since the Great Depression. He has overtaken Exxon Mobil Corp, McDonald's Crop, and Nike Inc.
Richest person
The wealth has surpassed the previous record of $167.7 billion, hinting that Jeff has gained about $56.7 billion in 2020. Much of this revenue is associated with Amazon, with the CEO owning about 57 million shares or approximately 12 percent of the company.
Despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Amazon is bound to great heights, with the growing demand for at-home shopping since the global quarantines and lockdowns.

The previous record was set in 2018, just before the separation from his wife, MacKenzie Bezos. After the split in 2019, Mackenzie earned a four percent stake in Amazon, earning her a spot in the world's richest people. She is currently a runner-up to L'Oreal heiress Francoise Bettencourt Meyers.
Following Bezos is Bill Gates, with a net worth at $115 billion, then Bernand Arnault at $93 billion net worth, and Mark Zukerberg, who over the previous weekend was spotted in Hawaii, at $91.2 billion net worth.
Where does Bezos take his investments?
Many of the investments of this tech CEO are in space tourism, and he reportedly sells $1 billion annually in Amazon stock to fund aerospace manufacturer and spaceflight services provider Blue Origin.
This year, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration or NASA named three privately-owned firms that are building their very own lunar landing systems, and these include Blue Origins and SpaceX from Elon Musk.
