Team Ninja has recently rolled out the latest patch for Nioh 2 and is now available to download. But what can players expect with the update?
Nioh 2 Version 1.07 Now Live
According to WCCFTech, update 1.07 has brought some bug fixes and difficulty tweaks for several sub-missions, especially as some of them are a lot more challenging compared to the main story's mission.
Based on Nioh 2's update 1.07 patch notes, the following sub-missions have been tweaked:
- A Favori for the Blacksmith
- The Greedy Hunter
- The Sunomata Yokai Hunter
- The Viper and the Butterfly
- The Brothers' Blades
- The Burning Sky
- Scattered Fragments
- Calling on the Fire God
- The Dream's End
Besides the sub-mission, GameSpot noted that Team Ninja also tweaked several Yokai or monsters in Nioh 2, making the gameplay experience less nail-biting and frustrating as before.
Based on the patch note provided by Team Ninja, they have weakened the attacks of some non-boss enemies that could kill your character with just one hit, even if your character is above the recommended level.
Some attacks by Shibata Katsuie that are hard to dodge have also been weakened.
In addition, drop rates have increased for The Art of Combat and Smithing Texts tomes.
The developers have also added "Difficulty" as a search condition when looking for Random Encounters, as well as adding the "Accessories" tab in the "Tempering" menu, and lastly adding a feature to initialize settings in the HDR settings.
Additional Fixes and Tweaks
A few other adjustments have also been made and rolled out with the latest patch to make the life of Nioh 2 players much easier, like fixing bugs that duplicate items, addressing concerns regarding the Yokai Realms, and the status effects that can't be dispelled, and more.
One bug that the team behind Nioh 2 fixed is an issue in the Dojo regarding a disappearing Tea Utensil that disappears when completing the mission.
There are also a few other issues in the Dojo that have finally been resolved.
For those who want to see the full patch notes for the Nioh 2 version 1.07 update, Team Ninja has uploaded them on their official Twitter account, as with the previous updates.
Things That Can be Done in the Game
Meanwhile, GameRant has provided tips that new and even old players may not know about Nioh 2, and here are some of them:
For one, players can actually pause the game to take a quick bathroom or water breaks or perhaps catch your breath after an intense battle. Simply hit the touchpad on your PS4 controller to go to the menu and then go to Options.
Additionally, using Soul Cores will provide your character with a passive stat bonus that could strengthen your character.
There is also a way to use Feral Burst Counters.
According to GamRant, players can use a different Guardian Spirit as it affects the type of Burst Counter you create, making them Feral. This can be extremely helpful as it can counter almost any attack from many different types of enemies.
Nioh 2 is exclusively available on PlayStation 4.
