Xbox and Ubisoft Announcement
Ubisoft also announced something similar to what Xbox is on the mind. This is also something that the ESA has recommended for developers and publishers as they say that they are exploring alternative things for E3 to happen even on a small scale.
ESA finally confirmed that they are hosting an online variation of E3 to emulate the experience that the event is supposed to imply. Although there are still no words of confirmation whether the Xbox and other significant tech companies will join, Xbox 's announcement is more than enough for people to get excited.
E3 2020 cancellations aren't an easy thing to do, and in fact, everything is not decided by only one person. Instead, all members of the organization partake in the decision.
E3 and Coronavirus Threat
Everyone on E3's organizing team is sad about the said decision, but they should put the safety of anyone at a pedestal.
E3 organizers have also gathered a lot of data to look through to come up with a reliable and correct decision. Upon thoughtful suggestions and enough data collected, they finally decided to cancel everything on E3.
E3's statement is directed towards its fans and everyone involved in the media and video game industry. The organizers have also promised to make E3 2021 a re-imagined and polished event due to insistent public demand.

Affected Delays
The coronavirus is also expected to be changing more than just E3, but rather also does who are near or related to E3 by any chance. GDC and SXSW have canceled its music, media, and arts festival due to similar reasons. Music festivals are usually overcrowded, and those who are famous are experiencing more than hundreds of thousands of attendees. Considering this huge number, the virus can easily travel from one place to another.
Another delay is the most-awaited Playstation 5. The next-generation console of Sony will arrive Holiday 2020, but since even the E3 got canceled, there's a slight chance that the full reveal and launch may also be affected.
The Xbox Series X, Microsoft's answer to the Sony PS5, may also face delays like its competitor. There is also a very high chance that a PS5 reveal may come on E3, but since it got canceled, players might need to wait even further.
One more thing that fuels the delay of the next-generation consoles would be their manufacturing and their production equipment and materials since the COVID-19 may also live in these places.
E3 is an annual event and gathering of gamers, companies, and developers around the world. But even if the most anticipated gaming event of the year got canceled, there are still a lot of ways to celebrate gaming.
