Apple Cancels Another Event! No More iPhone SE2 Due to Coronavirus

Just recently, Apple has decided to cancel its long-awaited event, which was planned to take place in late March. This event was a big part of their marketing strategy as they originally planned to unveil two different products, which is still a mystery to the public. The only product which the public is sure about is the iPhone SE2.

Rumors have already been circulating about this massive event being canceled as other events cancel as well, but it was never really confirmed by Apple until now. The panic caused by the Coronavirus or Covid-19 has its hand deep in many industries as the panic caused by this virus has paralyzed a lot of functions as well as canceled a lot of events.

The cancelation was not just because of fear from the coronavirus

The main reason why Apple chose to cancel this event was for the sake of public safety as the deadly coronavirus roams free, but another reason would be because of the delay of its production! This information came from a source over at Cult of Mac, and it seems like Apple does not want to discuss openly the devastation they are experiencing along with the cancellation of their event.

The decision of Apple to close down their stores and factories in China led to a major launch and production delay worldwide as most of the manufacturing happens in China! This has been a major problem for not just Apple but also other companies in a similar sector.

How the event would have went

The final location for the event, if ever it pushed through, would have been at the Steve Jobs Theater over at Apple Park, Santa Clara County. Recently, there was a strict ban against people gathering in groups of 1000 or more until the first of April, which was the biggest problem Apple was going to face should the event have pulled through.

An alternative launch for apple products

Now that Apple will not be able to host a grand event for the launch of their product, there has to be an alternative as to how the launching of their two products would garner equal or better attention as it could have if the event pushed through. Marketing for Apple usually involves popular people trying out and use their products, creating an instant demand as these people's fans want to have the same things their idols have.

Aside from the marketing through popular stars, Apple has to be very particular at explaining their specs to the masses since not a lot of people understand the heavy tech language used on the product descriptions, which is why demonstration would have been a better way to market their products.

The future of Apple's events

It does not seem like Apple will be able to host a new event any time soon, and as they are looking for new alternatives regarding promotions, they might stick to social media for a while.
