iPad Pro 1 TB Is Now $200 Cheaper

Customers may now get the 1 TB iPad Pro model for $200. Apple just slashed the price of its 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pros, applicable to both Wi-Fi and LTE models.

That brings the 11-inch iPad Pro to just $1,349 for Wi-Fi and $1,499 for LTE. The 12.9-inch model, on the other hand, now just costs $1,549 for Wi-Fi and $1,699 for LTE.

Pricing for the 64 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB iPad Pro variants has not changed.

Apple Slashes Price Of iPad Pro 1 TB

MacRumors first spotted the price change. Technically, this promotion isn't new. Retailers such as Best Buy and B&H have been selling the 1 TB iPad Pro at a similar discount. But this marks an official price change courtesy of Apple itself.

Although no new iPad Pro was shown at its recently concluded event, Apple is said to be planning to release an upgrade sometime this year. This upgraded model is rumored to include a new triple-camera system borrowed from the iPhone 11 Pro, among other additions. With that in mind, it might make more sense to just wait before Apple officially unveils that upgraded model instead of getting this discounted one — that is if a model is on the way.

iPad Pro Specs

The 1 TB iPad Pro is the only model packed with 6 GB of RAM, the highest configuration customers can get. Other iPad Pros just have 4 GB. Apple recently revamped the iPad operating system and gave it its own name — iPadOS. It features a lot of really useful functionalities, like a Files app that can open items from a USB, better handling of multi-tasking, and more. As such, 6 GB of RAM doesn't seem like an overkill considering what the iPad Pro is capable of doing these days.

The iPad Pro features an IPS LCD display with support for the Apple Pencil and TrueTone. It also boasts a refresh rate of 120 Hz for ultra-smooth graphics. It's got a nearly bezel-less display and Apple carried over Face ID from the iPhone X and also put it on the tablet. On the back, there's a 12-megapixel camera that can record 4K video at 60 fps.
