A bunch of new Apple products is already slated for release in 2019 and now, more of them are about to join the fall lineup: updated iPads.
Updated iPad models are set to make waves in the market. While the technology company isn't revealing much about the products they're about to release, more information is getting leaked as the launch date approaches.
New iPad Models Are On The Way
According to a report from Apple Insider, Apple just filed two additional iPad models into the Eurasian Economic Commission database. The models were in one listing with the identifiers A2200 and A2232, which suggests the pair will be similar to each other.
Filings on the EEC database are required from any device with encryption-related features in countries including Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia. There aren't specific details included in the filings, but it's one of the reliable ways to tell when Apple or other companies have something slated for release.
Earlier in 2019, Apple already entered five other iPad model numbers to the database, including A2197, A2228, A2068, A2198, and A2230. The EEC filings reveal that all seven iPads will be launched with iPadOS 13, which suggests that the release date will likely be in fall 2019.
A report from China on component manufacturer Ruiyi indicated that mass production of a new iPad is set to begin in July, which is in line with a fall release.
Potential Features Of New iPads
Apple just released a new iPad mini and iPad Air in the spring of 2019, which likely means that the new releases won't be part of these lineups. Instead, analysts believe that the entry-level 9.7-inch iPad and iPad Pro are going to get refreshed as the last versions were released in 2018.
Rumors reveal that the next model of the iPad will be a bigger version with a 10.2-inch screen. Mashable points out that while a larger screen is a plus for those who are planning to buy the entry-level, it's bound to muddle the iPad lineup with their overlapping price points and screens. With too many iPads on the roster, Apple's tablet lineup could become too crowded with products working against each other.
Aside from iPads, new iPhones and a new Mac Pro are about to be launched in September 2019. Another MacBook Pro that's 16-inch long with a new keyboard is expected in fall as well.
