Christmas Day is just around the corner. For those who didn't want to brave the crowds during this year's Black Friday and Cyber Monday to get their loved ones (or themselves) a great techie gift at a bargain, many stores still have tech deals up for grabs.
Best Buy
Best Buy offers some of the best deals on several Apple devices, but buyers will have to settle for older models. The original iPad Air and iPad mini 2 cost $50 less for the Wi-Fi only model and $100 less for the Cellular model, selling the iPad Air 16GB Wi-Fi model for only $349.99 and the Cellular model for only $379.99.
The entry-level 16GB iPad mini 2 Wi-Fi model is now being sold for $249.99, while the Cellular model is sold for $279.99. Apple's iPhone 5s is also on a $50-off sale and is now available for $50 with a two-year contract with a mobile carrier.
Those who aren't Apple fans can get other tablets at deep discounts, including the $114.99 8GB Amazon Fire HD tablet or the $149.99 Galaxy Tab. The Samsung Galaxy S5 is also sold for $50 with a two-year agreement and a $50 gift card. Best Buy also offers the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 but only with a $100 gift card and a two-year contract.
For gamers, Best Buy continues to offer the $349.99 deal for the Xbox One with a $50 gift card, and the $399 PlayStation 4, down from its original price of $449, and packaged with Assassin's Creed Unity and Assassin's Creed: Black Flag.
Another notable tech deal from Best Buy is the $1,599 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro with 2.8GHz processor, 8GB of RAM and 512GB internal storage. The price is down $200 from the original $1,799.
Best Buy is open until midnight on Tuesday and until 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve. The store's deals are available only for shoppers who purchase their goods online and pick them up at the nearest Best Buy location.
Micro Center
One can get the hottest deals for the iPad at a Micro Center location. The tech store offers $50, $70 and $100 off for the iPad mini, iPad mini 2 and the latest iPad mini 3, keeping their prices down at $199, $299 and $399 respectively.
Micro Center is also cutting prices by $100 for the iPad Air, which is now selling at $299, and the now $399 iPad Air 2. The 32GB iPad Air 2 also receives a huge discount and is now available for only $329. That is $70 off the 16GB iPad Air 2. The 16GB iPad Air Apple is also selling in its own stores. Micro Center will be open until 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve but will be closed on Dec. 25.
Target
Target is doing a one-up on Best Buy for the iPad Air, which it offers at $50 off for the 16GB Wi-Fi only model with a $25 gift card. It also offers the latest iPad Air 2 for 15 percent off, pegging the tablet's price at $424 for the entry-level Wi-Fi only model. Target is also selling the iPad mini 2 for $249, taking off the same $50 as Best Buy does for the 16GB Wi-Fi model, and the first-generation iPad mini for $219, slashing its price down by $30.
Other tech deals offered by Target include a $399 PlayStation 4 with a free game voucher, and Beats by Dre headphones for $199, giving buyers a $50 discount for the headphones.
Target is open until midnight on Tuesday and until 10 p.m. on Christmas Eve at select locations. Buyers can also throw in an additional 10 percent discount off certain purchases if they decide to buy online and pick up their purchases at a Target store later.
Wal-Mart
Wal-Mart doesn't have deals for the iPad or the iPhone, but it offers undoubtedly the best deal for the PlayStation 4, which is now available online for store pickup for only $329. It's easily the best price offered this holiday shopping season and is even cheaper than Best Buy's Xbox One deal. However, the offer doesn't include Sony's Four Games, Pick One promo, which included a voucher for one of four games that users can download for free online.
Wal-Mart also offers an Xbox One deal similar to what Best Buy offers, offering the Microsoft console for $349 bundled with the Assassin's Creed Games.
Beats by Dre headphones are also available for $199 and Apple's 32 GB iPod Touch for $229.
Wal-Mart is open until midnight on Tuesday and until 8 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
Amazon
For those who want to do all their shopping online, they can flock to Amazon, which offers free one-day shipping on select orders on Tuesday, whether buyers are Prime members or not.
Amazon is offering its Amazon Fire TV for $20 off. The set-top box is now available for $79 until Sunday, Dec. 28. The e-commerce website is also taking off the same $20 from its original Kindle and Kindle Paperwhite, so buyers can get the e-readers for $59 and $99 until Saturday, Dec. 27. The Fire HD 7 is now being sold for $114, $25 off its regular price, also until Saturday, Dec. 27.
