The LG G7 ThinQ flagship Android smartphone is finally official and T-Mobile has already announced plans to carry it, but it will be more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy S9.
Mobile phones have come a long way since their inception, and nowadays they serve far more purposes than simply handling calls and SMS. They're basically mini-computers one can carry in a pocket, and they get more advanced each year.
Flagship Smartphone Prices
Flagship smartphones come with top-notch specs and features and a plenty of horsepower to handle virtually any task, but they also carry a high price tag to match.
Most flagship smartphones currently available on the market are priced north of $700 and although installment plans make them more accessible, they still require a hefty investment.
LG G7 ThinQ Availability
Things are no different with the newly unveiled LG G7 ThinQ, which carries top-notch specs, a sleek design, and advanced features at a high price point. Verizon and Sprint have yet to announce their plans for the latest LG flagship, while AT&T will exclusively launch another LG device this summer, so it will not be offering the LG G7 ThinQ.
T-Mobile, meanwhile, is the first major U.S. carriers to announce its LG G7 ThinQ plans, and preorders will kick off later this week. More specifically, the LG G7 ThinQ will go up for preorder at T-Mobile this Friday, May 25, at 5 a.m. PT, at T-Mobile's online store, and will hit retail stores nationwide on June 1.
LG G7 ThinQ Price At T-Mobile
When it comes to pricing, the Uncarrier will be offering the LG G7 ThinQ at $30 down and $30 per month for 24 months on its Equipment Installment Plan, amounting to a full retail price of $750.
By comparison, the Samsung Galaxy S9 flagship smartphone has a full retail price of $720 at T-Mobile, which makes the LG G7 ThinQ slightly more expensive.
For LG fans looking to upgrade, however, the high price tag might be worth it considering that the G7 ThinQ boasts notable upgrades compared to its predecessor, the LG G6. The new flagship sports a new design, a brighter screen with a notch that can be hidden, improved speakers, upgraded internals, artificial intelligence technology, and a number of other significant improvements.
