Everybody's been there once before: right around the holidays, the family gets together, and what appeared to be a lovely dinner turns into a hate-fueled guilt-fest filled with plenty of shouting and arguing. That being said, most people usually only deal with that sort of bickering within the privacy of their home, and not broadcast out into the world for everyone to see. Unfortunately for Dallas and Brad Woodhouse, their spat was made a bit more public, as they received a surprise caller during an interview on C-SPAN.
For those that don't know, Brad Woodhouse recently became president of the American Bridge, while Dallas Woodhouse is the director of a conservative organization called Americans for Prosperity. Basically, these two brothers couldn't be further apart from each other on the political spectrum. On top of that, it's easy to assume that their mother rarely weighs in on their debates.
It would certainly explain the look of horror that crosses Dallas' face when he recognizes the voice of his mother as a caller during their C-Span segment:

The look of shock and utter defeat that crosses these two men's faces is absolutely priceless. It's a shame that the clip doesn't last for longer; this sort of political humiliation is easily the best thing C-SPAN has ever produced.
It's all made even more ironic considering Mrs. Woodhouse calls in to argue with her sons over the fact that she doesn't believe that most families argue during the holidays. It's not only a brutal scolding in front of millions of people, but it's backwards and basically hypocritical, too.
Then again, it's not like there's much anyone can do when their mom starts scolding them. It doesn't matter if you're an average Joe or a state politician: if mom starts yelling, you sit there and take it.
Let's hope Christmas goes a bit more smoothly for the Woodhouse boys.
