Over at Resetera, member TDLink posted the names of the possible upcoming fighters and the list is quite impressive. The list includes classic characters like Base Vegeta, Base Goku, Bardock, Android 17, and Cooler, Frieza’s older brother.
Other characters possibly coming to Dragon Ball FighterZ include the Universe 10’s Supreme Kai apprentice Zamasu and the legendary super saiyan Broly. There is also the addition of the Goku and Vegeta fusion, Vegito.
Additionally, two new modes such as Z Union and Z League will be introduced to the game. There are no other details provided aside from the names, but players will likely hear something about the new modes soon.
Since it circulated the net, there has been a debate among players regarding the list and many believe this could just be the data miner's wishlist. However, the user made a few points that this is legitimate.
First, when asked if these listed characters were just avatars in the title, he responded that they are indeed avatars, although, they are avatars that have yet to make a game appearance. He went on to say that all characters in the game with two or more avatars are playable and non-playable characters don’t have multiple avatars.
However, as of this writing, Bandai Namco has not said a word about the data mined information pertaining to the game's upcoming DLC.
What Is 'Dragon Ball FighterZ'?
Dragon Ball FighterZ is the latest Dragon Ball title for longtime fans of the franchise. It takes place between the Future Trunks saga and the current Dragon Ball Super Universe Survival saga.
The story finds Goku and his allies fighting against the villainous Android 21 and its army of Androids, including the infamous Android 16. The game is divided into three different chapters such as the Super Warriors Arc, Super Villain Arc, and Android 21 arc. Each chapter will follow Goku, Frieza, and Android 18 respectively.
In terms of gameplay, the Bandai Namco title is a 2.5D fighter. The title borrows the fighting style from Marvel vs. Capcom and allows users to choose three different Dragon Ball characters. Players control one character and can tag out to play with another character on their team.
Dragon Ball FighterZ is available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
