The New Aston Martin Vantage Will Make You (And Even James Bond) Drool

The Aston Martin brand has created a new best seller. Days after it unwrapped the Aston Martin Vantage, the new V8-powered vehicle, is almost sold out.

At $150,000, the Aston Martin Vantage is known for its luxury and speed in the automotive industry. Apart from being the go-to car for Bond movies, the carmaker is also a top sports car seller competing with the likes of Ferrari, Mercedes, and others across the world.

What's With The New Aston Martin Vantage

The new car comes with a 4-liter V8 engine, churning out 510PS at 6,000 rpm and 685Nm of torque at 2000 - 5000 rpm. A sprint of 0-60 mph only takes 3.5 seconds. All impressive figures to make even James Bond drool over its beauty and power.

The engine is fully catalyzed stainless steel exhaust system. The Aston Martin Vantage has electronically controlled exhaust with dual variable camshaft timing. It also features state of the art water-to-air charge cooling system to stabilize the engine under severe pressure. The new model tops out at 195 mph and most won't be able to test those number, except when they take it for a spin on a racing track.

"What we've tried to do with Vantage is make it aspirationally younger, cooler, better," says Andy Palmer, CEO Aston Martin.

For entertainment, Aston Martin's very own audio system is fitted for the delight of the drivers and the dashboard features a wide 8.0" LCD screen. There is provision for iPod and iPhone connectivity with the car's entertainment system which also has USB playback option. The Vantage also ships with integrated satellite navigation system.

Apart from the standard model on offer, there are several option packs available for different tastes of the consumers. There is Sports Plus Pack for the sports enthusiast, Exterior Black Pack, Tech pack with all gizmos on offer and Comfort Pack for the laid-back styles.

Aston Martin Vantage Design

The car is in line with the predatory stance design philosophy and is made for track run capability. Aston Martin Vantage derives its styling from track-only Aston Martin Vulcan. The new design makes it stand out from the rest of the models and in many ways, it also beats the DB10, which was produced solely for the Daniel Craig starrer Bond movie.

New front headlights of the car are ultra-slim lights with LED bulbs. This is to impose a strong and pouncing stance on the car. The Aston Martins are known for its aerodynamic designs, and in this new model, it takes it to new heights.

Vantage oozes cockpit feel and the driver feels like throttling a fighter jet instead of a sports car. Everything is designed keeping the driver in focus. One more fact that separates it from the chaff is the storage space of 350 liters in the boot, many sports cars do not have space for storage like this one has.

The wait for a perfect Aston Martin is over, one can satisfy the thirst for a sports car with this Vantage model, but sadly need to wait a whole year. A wait well worth it!
