If you are a OnePlus 3 or OnePlus 3T owner, then you may want to take another look at your phone. The users of these two handsets are reporting crooked camera bumps on their smartphones.
According to a thread that started on Reddit, several users noticed that their OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T had a camera bump, which was slightly crooked.
A Reddit user who goes by the name Hyperjit uploaded a photo of a OnePlus 3T Colette Edition smartphone in Gunmetal color. The image showed that the camera bump on the phone was slightly crooked.
What Did The Users Say?
It was claimed by users that the phone camera was not perfectly aligned. After the image was uploaded, many owners of OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T started commenting that the camera bump on the back of their phones was not entirely straight.
After this update, there were several other users who claimed to have a similar deformity in their phones. Thus, now it seems that the problem was not just restricted to one phone, but several owners had the same issue but did not notice it earlier.
"Luckily mine is nice and square. My brother's the glass looks a tiny bit off," said a reddit user NejyNoah who owns a OnePlus 3T smartphone in Gunmetal color.
Since the image was put up, there have been more than 120 comments from users along with 225 upvotes.
It is believed that there were some owners of the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T smartphones who had the crooked camera bump. There were also users who did not have this deformity in their device. Most people did not seem to have any issues.
Some users did not fail to mention that it is likely a manufacturing defect and advised owners to file for a replacement if it's within the warranty period.
Is It Affecting Performance?
So far none of the users have reported that the crooked camera bump is affecting the performance of the smartphone.
The quality assurance (QA) oversight does not appear to negatively affect the image quality or image capturing abilities of either phone.
What Are The Makers Saying?
OnePlus is yet to acknowledge the issue publicly. Even though the issue merely appears to be cosmetic at the moment, the owners want the company to offer a swift solution to the problem. Owners are hoping that OnePlus issues a refund or compensates in some other way.
