Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Guide: How To Get Dark Link Costume And Earn Mon Quickly

In The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, players stand to get a costume that lets them take on the appearance of a familiar-looking mini-boss from Ocarina of Time, and it's none other than the Dark Link armor set.

The outfit is not that easy to complete, though. It can only be bought from a special vendor named Kilton, and it can't be purchased with rupees. Instead, players need to pay up with Mon.

At any rate, aside from looking awesome and shadowy, the outfit provides a set bonus that boosts Link's movement speed during the night, making going through the hoops worthwhile.

How To Get Dark Link Costume

Put simply, you just have to earn a ton of Mon and buy the Dark Link costume parts from Kilton. You're going to need at least 3,997 Mon at hand, and to break down the cost of the set, the Dark Hood is priced at 1,999 Mon, the Dark Tunic at 999 Mon, and the Dark Trousers at 999 Mon.

Now, to earn Mon, you're going to hunt down foes in Hyrule, collect monster parts, and sell them to Kilton, from Bokoblin guts to Moblin horns and fangs.

If that doesn't seem to be the most efficient way to get the whole Dark Link costume, it's because it isn't.

How To Earn Mon Quickly

While the right way to earn Mon is already pretty clear, there's also the easy way.

Going straight to the point, the trick here is to hunt the right monsters, which are the giant cyclops Hinox and the centaurs with heads for a lion Lynel.

What you want from the Hinox are its toenails, teeth, and guts, as they can be traded for 15, 18, and 40 Mon respectively.

Meanwhile, what you're going to be looking for from the Lynel are its horns, hooves, and guts, which can be sold for 20, 30, and 100 Mon respectively.

How To Unlock Kilton

Of course, all of this will be useless without unlocking Kilton. Fortunately, it's not hard to do this.

From the get-go, Kilton isn't available just yet, and you're going to have to accomplish a side quest called A Shady Customer from Hoz, who can be found at East Akkala Stable. To finish it, just head to Skull Lake in the northeast part of the map and go to its left eye or island. There, you'll first meet Kilton.

As for where his shop is located, he'll turn up outside major towns during the night.

Well, that's pretty much it on how to get the Dark Link costume and earn Mon quickly.
