OnePlus fans could potentially be looking at a new smartphone from the company in the near future.
A teaser image that says "Never Settle" has been leaked online by well-known tipster Evan Blass who goes by the Twitter handle @evleaks.
This image hints toward a new phone being launched by the company, sending the rumor mill in a tizzy that the successor of the OnePlus 3 / OnePlus 3T dubbed the OnePlus 5 could be in the pipeline.
Is The OnePlus 5 Coming?
Now that the time for OnePlus to unveil a new device draws near, rumor mills have gone into overdrive and this latest image leaked by Blass adds more fuel to the fire.
The image leaked by Blass simply shows off a dark and attractive picture, and the wallpaper-esque print has its signature phrase "Never Settle" pasted at the top.
Smartphone expert David Ruddock has teased that something big may be announced by OnePlus soon, mentioning a Midnight Black color option. The OnePlus co-founder, Carl Pei, responded to this statement by posting a GIF image of wolves howling.
All these signs indicate that OnePlus is coming up with a blockbuster announcement soon. It may be a new phone — perhaps the OnePlus 5, a new color variant for the OnePlus 3T or simply a black phone cover.
Rumors have been rife that the next-gen smartphone from the company will be called the OnePlus 5 and not OnePlus 4. The name has raised quite a few eyebrows, as to why the company decided to refrain from naming the new phone OnePlus 4.
The reason, according to Chinese tradition, is that four is an unlucky number. Therefore, the company has supposedly decided against naming the next-gen smartphone OnePlus 4.
OnePlus 5 Rumors: The Story So Far
Based on reports, the company plans to bestow a ceramic body on the new OnePlus 5 and that would do wonders for its appearance. It is said to bear resemblance to the Xiaomi Mi Mix or the OnePlus X.
The OnePlus 5 may sport a 5.5-inch display and is said to house the Snapdragon 835 processor and 6 GB of RAM. The smartphone could come with 256 GB of on-board storage and may have a 4000 mAh battery to boot.
The primary camera is rumored to be 23MP while the secondary camera is expected to be around 16MP.
