Nintendo Switch Pro Controller Easter Egg: Hidden Message Thanks All Gaming Fans

The Nintendo Switch Pro Controller involves something more than meets the eye, and if you look closely, you'll find a hidden message somewhere.

Letting loose an Easter egg of sorts in the wild, Nintendo included a small shout-out addressed to fans in the controller, which reads in pixelized-style font, "thx2 allgamefans!"

Switch Pro Controller Easter Egg: Where It's Located

The person behind the discovery is a Japanese gamer with the Twitter handle @geo_stream, and like any responsible explorer living in the modern world, they shared their finding on the social media platform.

As everyone can see, the message can be found when the Pro Controller's right stick is pulled down.

It's pretty hard to spot, and the whole translucent design is just misleading because it might trick some users into thinking that they've already seen every nook and cranny and that there's nothing else left to see. Or something like that.

Is This Nintendo's Way Of Saying Thanks?

This could be considered Nintendo's way of expressing gratitude to gamers who've stuck around and supported it all these years. Judging from the entire message, though, it doesn't seem to be limited to only Nintendo fans.

At any rate, this is an awesome Easter egg from the company.

Other Switch Related News

Speaking of messages from Nintendo, it already made a few announcements regarding the Switch's issues — some good, some not exactly okay.

First off, there are the Joy-Con connectivity problems. Nintendo is well aware of what's going on, and in response, it brought some solutions to the table.

Put simply, users are advised to place the Switch out in the open, make sure there isn't any other device that can interfere with the connection, and check whether or not the console is updated.

Secondly, there are those unsettling dead pixels on the Switch, which look like white or black specks. The thing is, Nintendo says these are a "characteristic of LCD screens," and thus they shouldn't be "considered as a defect."

Needless to say, not everyone is happy with that.

Long Story Short

Nintendo is showing fans some love by way of a hidden message in the Switch Pro Controller, and as evidenced by a Reddit thread dedicated to it, everybody's loving it.

On an interesting note, a teardown of the Pro Controller would be nice to see in light of this discovery. Perhaps something like what iFixit did to the Switch recently, which found out that the console is easy to repair.

With all said and done, what do you think of what Nintendo cooked up this time around? Feel free to hit us up in the comments section below and let us know, especially if you found the Easter egg all on your own.
