Samsung MWC 2017 Event: Foldable Smartphone, Galaxy Tab S3, Galaxy S8 Teaser, And More

The Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 is knocking at the door and most OEMs, including Samsung are gearing up to unveil a range of products.

Samsung has a press event slated for Feb. 26 and while the flagship Galaxy S8 not be unveiled at the event, the company has several more devices lined up to entice tech buffs with.

The South Korean OEM is expected to announce the Galaxy Tab S3, a foldable smartphone and even expected to tease the Galaxy S8 in a short video.

Here is a look at what people can expect from Samsung at it MWC press event.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S3

Samsung's MWC invite hinted of a launch of a tablet at its press event and tech enthusiasts are assuming that it's most certainly going to be the Galaxy Tab S3.

Through various leaks and rumors it has been suggested that the upcoming tablet will sport a 9.7-inch QXGA Super AMOLED display. The tablet will reportedly house a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor along with 4 GB of RAM, as well as sport a 12MP rear-facing camera and a 5MP selfie snapper. The tablet is expected to run on the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.

Per reports, the Galaxy Tab S3 may come with an S Pen, which will be a standalone accessory. The device may also house four in-built speakers, a fingerprint scanner and more. The impending tablet may also come with secure folder, screen off memo and air command features.

Some images which leaked on Feb. 21 hinted that the tablet may sport a metal and glass build similar to Samsung's premium smartphones.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Teaser And Launch Date

Even though Samsung has confirmed that it will not unveil its flagship smartphone Galaxy S8 at the MWC, reports suggest that the company may reveal the launch date of the handset along with a short video at its press event.

Samsung Foldable Smartphone

Samsung has been speculated to be working on a foldable smartphone for quite a few years now and rumor has it that it may finally unveil the handset at the MWC. Tech Times has previously reported that Samsung may show off its foldable smartphone to a select few in a "behind the doors" launch.

The news of the foldable smartphone, dubbed the Galaxy X, is yet to receive confirmation from Samsung but there is ample evidence to support the theory that a foldable handset is being developed.

Samsung Galaxy TabPro S2

In February, reports came wafting that a Samsung tablet with model number SM-W727V has been given Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification. It is being assumed that this tablet is the Galaxy TabPro S2, successor of the Galaxy TabPro S.

Rumors suggest that Galaxy TabPro S2 will be a Windows 10-powered tablet sporting a 12-inch super AMOLED Quad HD display. Samsung fans can expect an Intel Kaby Lake processor to power the tablet. In terms of storage capacity, the Galaxy TabPro S2 may come with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage.

Similar to the Galaxy Tab S3, the Samsung Galaxy TabPro S2 may also get shipped with an S Pen and a detachable keyboard cover.
