Lenovo Tab3 8 Plus: Full Specs List And Official Press Render Leaks

The Lenovo Tab3 8 Plus was first leaked in September 2016, but no details on its specifications were available - till now.

Close on the heels of the tablet getting listed on a benchmarking database, the specs and the official press renders for the Lenovo Tab3 8 Plus have emerged online.

The latest leak is courtesy an Italian website Notebook Italia which shared the supposed official press renders of the impending Lenovo tablet.

"Today, we are able to show a preview of the tablet and give you all the information related to its technical data sheet preview , thus putting an end to the waltz of the tests rumors, features and leak for months, and until recent days bouncing on the web (translated)," shared the site.

According to the latest leak, Lenovo is gearing up to reveal two variants of the Tab3 8 Plus during its press event at the MWC 2017. One of the models will be Wi-Fi only and allegedly bears the model number TB-8703F, whereas the second one is a 4G LTE mobile date supported version that has the model number TB-8703X. The specs and features of both the variants will be the same apart from this connectivity difference.

What Does The Leak Reveal?

The leak reveals the detailed features of the Lenovo tablet. It may feature an 8-inch WUXGA (1920 x 1200 pixels) display and could be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor clocked at 2.02 GHz.

The leak also mentions that the tablet will likely get 3 GB of RAM and offer 16 GB of internal storage, which would be expandable to up to 128 GB. The battery may be 4,250 mAh. As for the camera, it is reported that the Tab3 8 Plus would feature an 8MP primary camera with LED flash and a 5MP selfie camera. It may also include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos.

Weighing just 0.70 lbs, tablet will most probably come with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box. The device may also be IP52 certified, making it dust proof and water resistant.

The leaked renders also showcase a thin and savvy design for the tablet. They also tease two different color options - silver and blue - which should be available to the public upon the tablet's release.

Release

From the leaked specs and images the Lenovo Tab3 8 Plus seems like a pretty decent product with a very generous battery. However, one of its downsides clearly is that it will launch with Android Marshmallow on board and not the latest Android Nougat.

There is no word regarding the price and availability of the tablet from Lenovo, but it is probable that it would be announced during the company's MWC event, which is slated for Feb. 26
