New Huawei P10 and P10 Plus renders have just been uncovered, and this time, it looks as if it holds weight, at least as far as rumors go.
The renders depict a gold-colored P10 and P10 Plus variants, a design scheme which screams familiar, since similar renders have been leaked before, only in different color schemes.
Huawei P10 And P10 Plus Renders
As seen from the renders, which hails from a Chinese report, the Huawei P10 rocks a flat display, while the P10 Plus rocks a curved one, much like the Mate 9 Pro. This, however, isn't the only disparity: The P10 Plus is the only one that sports a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, and their LED flashes sensors are different, too, with the P10 Plus rocking what looks to be a ring flash girding the laser-assist sensor for auto focus — the same sensor seen on a previous P10 render in black. Also visible now is what looks to be an iris scanner on the device's front panel, which couldn't be seen on the leaked Huawei P10 renders because of its color.
The P10 comes with a white front panel, while the P10 Plus's is gold-colored, mirroring its back panel. Both devices sport a home button on the bottom of the display, which is an interesting feature for the P10 Plus, given that it already has a fingerprint scanner on the back.
Interestingly, the back panel features Leica's logo near the dual cameras, which suggests that the Huawei-Leica collaboration continues with the P10 and P10 Plus. What's more, both phones will feature main camera sensors configured at an aperture of f/2.0, as seen on the renders.
Huawei P10 And P10 Plus Rumors
Rumors say the P10 and the P10 are expected to ship with Huawei's flagship chip, the Kirin 960 64-bit octa-core processor, although the report from where the renders originate argues that the P10 will actually pack a higher-clocked Kirin 965 chip.
In terms of memory and storage, the P10 is reported to be available in two configurations: one with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage, and another with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. On the other hand, the P10 Plus could have 6 GB/128 GB and 8 GB/256 GB configurations. Both variants will feature expandable storage, as per GSMArena's report.
The P10 is rumored to rock a 5.2-inch screen, while the P10 plus is expected to rock a 5.5-inch screen. Android Nougat will run out of the box when the devices are released, on top of Huawei's custom Android UI, EMUI 5.0
Huawei P10 And P10 Plus Pricing And Release Date
If rumors prove accurate, the P10 pricing will start at $699, and Huawei is expected to unveil both devices soon, maybe even during this year's Mobile World Congress, happening late February in Barcelona, Spain.
The Huawei P10 and P10 Plus are one of the most anticipated flagships to be released this year, joining the ranks of Samsung's Galaxy S8 and LG's G6, the latter of which will officially be unveiled come Feb. 26 at the MWC.
