Huawei P10 Could Be Available In Purple And Green Hues

Rumors are rife that Huawei could release the next iteration of the P9 — dubbed the Huawei P10 — in a gamut of colors.

According to a new leak on Chinese microblogging site Weibo, the Huawei P10 could come in several exciting colors, namely green and purple. Previous rumors have hinted at the smartphone being made available in gold, pink, and black.

A Weibo account belonging to a user who goes by the handle ichangezone has shared images of the purported Huawei P10 smartphone donning the new hues. The images shared by the user shows the smartphone in a light green color, a pastel purple, and gold.

The Huawei P9 is available in blue and red hues, which it benefitted from recently, and seeing the popularity of the additional colors, the company may have decided to offer the P10 in additional hues.

Whether the Huawei P10's bigger sibling, the rumored P10 Plus, will also benefit from the new colors is not known.

Huawei P10 Rumored Specs

The latest leak also suggests that the Huawei P10 will deploy the high-end Yamaha and Harman Kardon audio hardware. The rear panel of the device also shows off the presence of a dual-camera setup as well as LED flash. The Huawei logo can also be seen on the alleged P10's rear.

Rumors point to a 5.2-inch QHD display for the Huawei P10. The device will allegedly be powered by an octa-core Kirin 960 processor, which is clocked at 2.3 GHz and 6 GB of RAM.

The Huawei P10 may also be equipped with Mali G71 GPU and an expandable memory of 256 GB.

It could also sport Leica dual cameras — as affirmed by the current leak — with RGB sensors and monochrome. The smartphone will boast a metal body and could also support wireless charging. It will likely be preloaded with Android 7.0 Nougat and boast a fingerprint sensor.

Release

Huawei has a press event scheduled on Feb. 26 at the MWC 2017, and the smartphone is anticipated to be introduced at the event.

It is rumored to cost more than Mate 9 and P9. The price range shall start from $746 or $799. With the smartphone supposedly packing in Yamaha and Harman audio hardware, the higher price point can be justified.

With a slew of new attractive colors for the Huawei P10, the company would be hoping to lure more consumers. Whether the smartphone will be able to entice buyers upon release is anybody's guess.
