Red Dead Redemption and its Undead Nightmare expansion will be heading to the PlayStation Now on Dec. 6. This should please PlayStation 4 and PC users because it means that the game can now be played in their respective platforms.
PlayStation 4 owners have long been grumbling about the absence of Rockstar's original Read Dead title in the console. Red Dead Redemption 2 is, of course, officially heading their way by the end of this year but other consoles, the PlayStation 3 included, have already enjoyed the game since May 2010.
The December Red Dead debut at PlayStation Now, therefore, should appease fans. Some, however, might balk at the fact that a monthly subscription fee is required in order to play classic PS3 titles on their consoles.
Backward Compatibility
PlayStation Now, which was launched last year, is Sony's answer to Xbox One's backward compatibility feature. Here, the company is hosting old games on its cloud server and these are then streamed to PlayStation 4 and PCs not unlike how Spotify or Netflix stream media content to mobile devices.
Certainly, it is different from the Xbox One model wherein old games can be played in the platform natively. Still, PlayStation Now could prove to be an attractive option for gamers pining for older PS3 exclusives. This is underscored by the fact that it hosts more than 450 games, including several acclaimed masterpieces and greatest hits.

If you are interested to subscribe and is new in the platform, PlayStation has specific system requirements.

Pricing And Other Details
After a 7-day free trial, you will have to pay a monthly $20 fee or $45 to cover three months. PlayStation 4 subscribers will just have to reassure themselves that the price is cheaper than buying an older PlayStation console just to play Red Dead Redemption.
One should also take note the internet speed requirement. The game is graphic-intensive and streaming it requires huge amount of bandwidth. It is better to check if your connection satisfies the cited minimum data speed before subscribing. A data upgrade from your internet provider could also be required. Otherwise, your gameplay will thoroughly suffer.
Regardless of the internet speed, there are those who are still concerned about stability issues and disruptions. But subscribers who were able to experience the game streaming service attest that it is reliable. The service is currently available in North America, the United Kingdom, Belgium and the Netherlands.
