The latest Destiny leak reveals some tantalizing new details about the game's first expansion, as well as a first look at some of the new raid gear players will be able to get their hands on in the near future.
A previous leak revealed missions and raids included in Destiny's upcoming first expansion, and now Reddit user SwordofCrota has noticed a listing of items on Destinydb.com that have yet to appear in the game. Presumably all these details on new items and events have been data mined from Destiny's code. Keep in mind, some of this information could likely change in the time between now and the expansion's release.
Included in the database are item names and thumbnail images for new sets of raid gear for all classes from "The Dark Below" expansion raid "Crota's End." New vanguard and crucible armor also looks to be on the way, as well as ways to upgrade and recolor ships (finally!). You can check out some of the thumbnails for the new items, including exotic ones, over at Planet Destiny.
We've known Destiny's expansions would include new items, but what is perhaps more interesting is what looks to be the level requirement for the new raid. Players will need to be level 28 before attempting the normal version of "Crota's End" on the Moon, with the hard version requiring a team of level 32 players. A level 28 strike playlist is also listed.
Glimpses of a new event can be seen on DestinyDB too. It's called Trials of Osiris, and with it comes a new hand cannon, emblems and a legendary sparrow. Trials of Osiris is actually playable right now, it's just a well kept secret. Performing well in PvP will teleport skilled players to a special playlist with other elite players on Mercury, where you can battle it out until receiving one too many losses and being removed from the Trials. Whether or not this leaked event is one and the same or will be opened up to the wider community is currently unknown.
Destiny's "The Dark Below" expansion will be released sometime in Dec. In the meantime, check out all the ways players are mastering the game in its current form, whether it be by defeating the Vault of Glass raid with only two people or bringing down Destiny's final boss in 17 seconds.
