Destiny's Vault of Glass raid is designed to be a challenge. It requires an in-sync team of six heavily-geared members to know exactly what to do and where to go in order to ensure victory. But if you've never tried the raid yourself and instead only watch this video, you wouldn't believe the Vault of Glass is hard at all.
That's because the video below shows one group of heavily-geared Guardians doing something that on paper sounds impossible -- they've defeated Atheon, Destiny's final boss, in 17 seconds flat.
The group in the video is a clan by the name of "Legendary Crew." It's a name they've definitely earned now, as three sunsinger warlock and three gunslingers entered the raid to accomplish the task of bringing down Atheon in record time.
What is most impressive is that the team doesn't use any cheap exploits to cheese their way to victory. This is raw coordination and preparation on display. Nearly every member of the team is at the game's current level cap of 30, and with four members using the powerful exotic rocket launcher Gjallarhorn. By completing the previous phase of the battle, the raid team is granted a massive damage boost and near instant recharge on grenades and supers for a limited time. With all six team members focusing on bringing down the boss with their most powerful weaponry, Atheon didn't stand a chance.
Oh, and in case you were wondering, this was done on the raid's hard difficulty. It's a new world record, according to the players themselves, with the previous fastest time clocking in at around four minutes. Be sure to also watch this video of a dynamic duo taking on the raid by themselves, and check out our collection of essential Destiny guides.
