Destiny players continue to accomplish the impossible. The latest and greatest feat? Defeating Destiny's Vault of Glass raid with only two people.
Vault of Glass is, at the moment, Destiny's greatest challenge. It requires a team of six people all working in near perfect rhythm to defeat the powerful enemies and deadly traps hidden deep beneath the surface of Venus.
Except when it doesn't.
Two Level 30 players managed to conquer it all by themselves. Thanks to their powerful legendary and exotic gear, and a large amount of skill on their part, they did what others have struggled to do with relative ease. The first team to finish Vault of Glass did so in 11 hours, and it took thousands of deaths to decipher how to defeat each challenge. These two players finished the Vault in just over one hour.
It truly is impressive. In the final boss fight, one player deals with the relic and oracles all by himself and makes the entire affair look easy. Of course using the Warlocks self-resurrection ability definitely comes in handy in a pinch, allowing some room for error.
The two players, Furball and sc Slayerage, say in the 'About' section of the video that this is the normal version of the raid, as the duo isn't strong enough to defeat the heroic version without some additional help.
While Furball and sc Slayerage focused on proving two people could do a six man raid, others have opted to set new records for how fast it can be done. So far one team has managed to finish it in a mere 37 minutes, but that only puts in perspective how crazy the accomplishments of these two players are. Furball and sc Slayerage finished the raid in under double the time and with less than half of the normal number of players. That's a feat that isn't likely to be replicated anytime soon.
