Millions of players are experiencing all that Destiny has to offer, but only a select few so far have managed to complete the game's most difficult challenge: the Vault of Glass raid.
Designed to require six players and multiple hours of play time, the first group to conquer the Vault of Glass died more than 1,000 times and fought on for nearly 11 hours as the team solved puzzles and defeated powerful bosses. It was quite an achievement, but since then, multiple groups have cleared Destiny's most formidable challenge. Now one team is moving the bar even higher, having completed the Vault of Glass in a record time of only 37 minutes. You can watch the entire process below.
One would expect completion times to decrease as more and more players geared up and entered the Vault of Glass for the first time. But 37 minutes? That is the same amount of time it takes for many players to complete some of Destiny's three-man "Strike" missions.
It's an impressive feat, but who knows how long the record will stand before we begin to see it done in 35, 30 or even 20 minutes and under. For what it's worth, the group which first conquered the Vault, Primeguard, isn't too concerned with speed runs.
The members are now focusing their efforts on being the first group to defeat the Vault of Glass on hard mode. If you want to fight your way to the Vault of Glass and see what all the fuss is about with your own eyes, be sure to check out this guide for gearing up past level 20.
