Apple will officially announce the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus in a few days but rumors of the upcoming iPhones are still emerging. The latest ones highlight some new features of the next-gen Apple smartphones.
A user on a Vietnamese blog called Tinhte claims to have used the iPhone 7 (not the bigger iPhone 7 Plus) ahead of the launch of the device. The user shares his experience in handling the iPhone 7 and some features he reported are in line with previous speculations. However, there are some new rumors of the iPhones as well.
According to the Vietnamese blog (translated), the iPhone 7 will be able to support 4K video recording at 60 fps. If the claim is legit then it will be a big upgrade as the iPhone 6s is capable of recording 4K videos at 30 fps. It is also worth noting that no other phone in the market supports 4K video recording at 60 fps.
The latest leak also suggests that Apple will introduce a new color option for the upcoming iPhone 7. Previously leaked images showed the iPhone 7 Plus in a blue color but the Vietnamese user suggests that Apple will also introduce a Dark Black matte finish model, which is expected to replace the existing Space Gray color.
The user says that the new matte finish variant of the iPhone 7 will also have a matte Apple logo, while the silver iPhone 7 will continue to have a shiny logo.
The volume buttons of the next-gen iPhones may also see slight design tweaks.
Speculations have been rife that the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus will be waterproof to bring the Apple phones at par with other top-end phones available in the market. The Vietnamese user found that the SIM tray of the iPhone 7 was sealed with rubber to offer protection against water damage.
The latest leak suggests that Apple has done away with a physical home button and used a touch-sensitive button, which was also noted in previous leaks. However, the user who handled the iPhone 7 writes that although the home button is capacitive, users will have to activate the button with substantial force.
Analysts have predicted that the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus would have many selling points, which will make the handsets highly anticipated in the smartphone space.
Sept. 7 is not far away so iFans will have to wait just another day for Apple to officially announce the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus and reveal their specs and features. Until then, all rumors should be taken with a pinch of salt.
