HTC is set to unveil an "edgier" smartphone on Sept. 20, and it could possibly be either the Desire 10 Pro or Desire 10 Lifestyle — or maybe both.
This development comes from none other than the horse's mouth itself, and the company is spreading the word via Twitter with the hashtag #BeEdgier.
As everyone can see, the video teaser shows something that looks a lot like the renders of the Desire 10 Pro that made rounds online back in August. If that speculation is anything to go by, the public may finally get to see the handset in all its glory soon enough.
Unfortunately, the specs of the Pro variant are still scarce at best, but it's a safe bet to assume that it's going to be more powerful across the board than the Lifestyle version.
On that note, the Desire 10 Lifestyle is allegedly going to have a 5.5-inch screen with a 720 x 1,280 resolution, and it's going to house a Qualcomm chip that's part of the Snapdragon 4xx series.
It's expected to be available with either 2 GB of RAM plus 16 GB of internal storage or 3 GB of RAM plus 32 GB of native storage.
With BoomSound Hi-Fi Edition stereo speakers and a pair of first-rate earbuds out of the box, it's going to deliver quite a listening experience.
It's said to run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow from the get-go and soon be up for upgrade to Android 7.0 Nougat. Of course, it's skinned with HTC's Sense UI on top.
The Desire 10 Lifestyle appears to be designed as an affordable and fashionable smartphone, so it's probably not that worried about those "tame" specifications. Now, those aren't exactly the most intriguing components, but if the price is right, then it's one heck of a handset to keep an eye out for.
To boil things down, save the date, as Sept. 20 is going to be a big day for HTC and fans everywhere. Even if the company doesn't unwrap the smartphones in question, it won't be much of a letdown if it introduces some other device that can outshine these two.
