HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle: Snapdragon 400 Chip, 5.5-Inch Display, Android Marshmallow And A Pocket-Friendly Price Tag

The rumored HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle will apparently come with good specs and quite an attractive price tag, expected to cost just $200.

HTC is gearing up to release two new affordable smartphones under its Desire series this September. The purported HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle and Desire 10 Pro have already leaked online in some renders, showing off their design and giving a few hints as to what to expect. Now, more information has hit the surface.

Trusted tipster @LlabTooFeR, who is a well-known HTC ROM developer, has now shared some more details regarding the upcoming HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle, and it sounds like a pretty good deal.

According to the developer, the Desire 10 Lifestyle will hit the scene as a stylish yet affordable smartphone, which should cost somewhere between $150 and $200 unlocked.

Considering the price range, it shouldn't come as a great surprise that the HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle will not come with high-end specifications. The Desire range caters to the low- to mid-range segment of the smartphone market, focusing on affordability to appeal to budget-conscious shoppers.

The tipster says the handset will pack the low-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, without offering other specifics. The Snapdragon 400 is 2 years old though, so the processor could in fact be a newer model from the Snapdragon 4xx series rather than the Snapdragon 400 specifically.

Aside from processing power, the HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle is expected to feature a 5.5-inch HD display with a resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels, pack a solid 3 GB of RAM, up to 32 GB of native storage space, and BoomSound speakers for a superior audio experience.

In terms of software, the upcoming HTC Desire smartphones could launch with Android Marshmallow on board at first, getting an update to Android 7.0 Nougat later on.

Until an official confirmation or announcement from HTC, however, it's all still in the rumor state. Consequently, it's highly advised to treat this news with a dose of skepticism at this point, as leaks don't always turn out to be accurate.

If HTC is indeed gearing up to unveil the Desire 10 Lifestyle and Desire 10 Pro at an event in September, more information will soon become available straight from the source. As always, we'll be keeping a close eye on HTC's unveiling and keep you posted as soon as we have the official details.
