Calvin Harris Attacks Taylor Swift In Twitter Rant

Calvin Harris has attacked Taylor Swift in a scathing Twitter rant. In it, the EDM DJ and producer accused the pop star and her team of trying to "bury him," just like what she did with Katy Perry.

Though the couple, who dated for 15 months before recently deciding to go their separate ways, had apparently split up on decent terms, the gloves came off when Swift revealed that she was actually the co-writer of Harris' current pop chart hit "This is What You Came For," which features vocals by another huge A-list pop star, Rihanna. The song is currently resting in the top 5 of various Billboard charts and is a big contender for song of the summer.

Supposedly, the two had agreed to keep Swift's participation a secret, and she is listed as a co-writer of the track under a pseudonym, Nils Sjoberg. Suddenly, and apparently without warning Harris, Swift announced to People Magazine that she had in fact written the track.

Harris was asked to comment, and he initially appeared to be taking the high road, praising the singer and even crediting her with having performed some of the background vocals. He then acknowledged that she did indeed write the song in part, but also clarified that he had written the music, produced the track and cut the vocal. His reaction, however, ultimately descended into a full-on rant against Swift.

A few minutes later, another tweet says:

Then, Harris adds the kicker, directed squarely at Swift:

Harris is referring to Swift's former friend Katy Perry, with whom she famously fell out after Perry supposedly poached three backup dancers from Swift's tour, and who is speculated to be the subject of Swift's hit song "Bad Blood." Perry didn't waste time chiming in on the action herself, tweeting a cryptic statement she made in 2015 "Time, the ultimate truth teller," along with a GIF of presidential candidate Hilary Clinton shrugging her shoulders in an "I told you so" manner.
