Sony Xperia X Performance, Xperia XA Hitting Canadian Shelves First Before US

Sony will release the Xperia X Performance and Xperia XA in Canada first before they will hit the store shelves in the United States.

The company says in a press release that the Xperia X Performance will land in Canada, specifically at Bell (White and Graphite Black) on June 23. It will also be available to reserve at Rogers on the same day but will arrive in stores on July 14 (Graphite Black).

In the meantime, the Xperia XA will be up for grabs on June 23 at Bell (White and Graphite Black) and at Virgin Mobile Canada (White and Graphite Black). WIND Mobile customers can expect to see this phone in stores starting July 14 (Graphite Black).

Xperia X Performance

This handset is fitted with a whopping 23-megapixel main shooter.

It is said to have a water-resistant design that can withstand sudden spills and splashes.

The Xperia X Performance rocks a 5-inch screen and rounded glass edges. What makes it sweet is that it is crammed with a Snapdragon 820 processor for a speedy performance, hence its name.

Xperia XA

Sony says that this phone is built "with fun and style in mind."

Featuring a 5-inch display, this smartphone comes equipped with a 13-megapixel camera.

Under the phone's hood, it has a MediaTek Helio P10 Octa-core chipset that delivers great performance and power.

In terms of its battery performance, the company touts that its battery lifespan is "twice as long" as previous Xperia handsets.

Xperia X and Xperia XA Ultra Availability

As for the release dates of the Xperia X in Canada, the firm says that it will be available on June 29 at Videotron (Graphite Black) and will land at WIND Mobile (Graphite Black) at a later date — on July 14.

Meanwhile, WIND Mobile will exclusively sell the Xperia XA Ultra on July 14 (Graphite Black).

Shiomi added that the phones are built to allow users interact with the world around them "in exciting ways." These smartphones are said to be specifically built to make their lives more enjoyable.
