Sony launched the Xperia X series at the 2016 MWC but did not confirm the release date of the handsets. Preorder for the smartphones in the Xperia X lineup has already started and the Xperia X will hit U.S. shelves on June 26.
Here are the details of the mobile phones in the Xperia X series.

The Xperia X sports a 5-inch Full HD 1,080p TRILUMINOS display. A hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor and 3 GB of RAM power the Sony smartphone.
The phone will be available with 32 GB (single SIM) or 64 GB (dual SIM) internal storage options. Owners will also have the option to expand the memory to up to 200 GB with a microSD card.
The Sony Xperia X is equipped with a 23-megapixel (f/2.0 lens) primary camera and a 13-megapixel (f/2.0 lens) front-facing camera.
"The Xperia X comes equipped with some intuitive camera features like Quick Startup, Predictive Hybrid Autofocus, and a dedicated camera button that lets you catch even the most unexpected moments in the blink of an eye," says Sony.
The phone has a 2,620 mAh battery that offers up to two days of usage. The Xperia X will be available in four color options: White, Graphite Black, Lime Gold and Rose Gold.
The Xperia X has a price tag of $549.99 and it comes with a free 128 GB microSD card. It will be available starting June 26.
Xperia X Performance
The Xperia X Performance will have the same screen and camera found on the Xperia X. However, the smartphone has a faster Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and 3 GB of RAM.
According to the Sony website, the Xperia X Performance will be available with only 32 GB of on-board storage, but customers will be able to expand the storage capacity to 200 GB with a microSD card.
A 2,700 mAh battery fuels the Xperia X Performance. The Sony handset will be available in four hues: White, Graphite Black, Lime Gold and Rose Gold.
The Xperia X Performance will be available starting July 17 for $699.99, and will come with a free 128 GB microSD card.

"From watching your favorite shows to spending hours playing games. The Xperia XA's captivating [5-inch] borderless display is maximized, without having to make the phone any bigger, so you can enjoy an endless world of entertainment that is a pleasure to hold," says Sony.
An octa-core MediaTek helio P10 processor and 2 GB of RAM power the device. The Xperia XA is available with 16 GB of internal storage but users can expand the storage to 200 GB with a microSD card.
The Xperia XA is equipped with a 13-megapixel primary camera and an 8-megapixel selfie camera. The mobile phone has a 2,300 mAh battery that offers up to two days of usage.
The Sony Xperia XA will be available in all four colors as the Xperia X and the Xperia X Performance. The handset will cost $279.99 and will hit the shelves on July 17.

The Xperia XA Ultra is the biggest handset in the Xperia X series. The phone touts a 6-inch Full HD 1,080p screen with mobile BRAVIA engine 2. Just like the Xperia XA, the Xperia XA Ultra also has a borderless screen. The handset runs on a MediaTek MT6755 chipset and 3 GB of RAM.
The mobile device is available with 16 GB of internal memory that can be expanded to 200 GB with a microSD card. The smartphone has 21.5-megapixel primary and 16-megapixel front-facing cameras.
