Samsung Sends Out Invites To NYC Event On June 2: Here's What To Expect

Samsung is going to hold a launch event in New York at 5:00 p.m. EDT on June 2, and it already started sending out invitations.

The thing is, the smartphone maker didn't exactly give out the details of what it has in store, but as anticipated, there are already a couple of grounded guesses making rounds online. Without further ado, here are some of the devices that attendees can expect to see there:

Gear Fit 2

The successor to the original 2014 Gear Fit is believed to make an appearance at the event, and it's aptly named the Gear Fit 2.

Just recently, promo images of the wearable tech got leaked out, revealing a sleek profile and curved display. It's also reported to feature built-in GPS function and a heart rate monitor. As for the display, it's said to have a 1.55-inch Super AMOLED touch screen, and what's more, it should have a newer chip sitting under it along with 2 GB worth of storage and a 200 mAh battery pack.

Gear IconX

The Gear IconX is Samsung's first foray into the wireless earbuds game, and just like the Gear Fit 2, images of it got leaked not too long ago.

As for what it can bring to the table, it's rumored to be capable of functioning as a fitness tracker and a standalone music player with 4 GB of internal storage in one of the earpieces. On top of that, they are charged via the case it comes with out of the box. Connectivity-wise, it uses Bluetooth.

Gear 360

Launch details of the Gear 360 VR camera are said to be divulged too. As a quick refresher, it's fitted with a pair of fisheye f/2.0 lenses that allow it to capture videos at nearly 4K quality and 30-megapixel pictures.

Also, it's designed to withstand the outdoors, sporting a dust- and water-resistant body. To make sure it can store a ton of content, it has microSD card support of up to 128 GB.

For the record, it's already up at the official Samsung website.

Galaxy Note 7

The next-generation Galaxy Note could go on stage at the event, but it's quite unlikely to happen. If it does, then it'll arguably steal the show.

On an interesting note, Samsung is rumored to skip Galaxy Note 6 and go right ahead with Galaxy Note 7.

Meanwhile, the alleged core specs of phablet include a 5.8-inch QHD screen, 6 GB of RAM and 32 GB of native storage that's expandable up to 128 GB via a microSD card slot. As for the processor, it could house a Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 in the United States and an improved Exynos 8890 in other countries.

Needless to say, these are all mere speculations at this point. In other words, nothing is set in stone yet, but there's a pretty good chance that these are the goodies that viewers will see at the event based on the leaks and rumors.

With all said and done, hit us up in the comments section below and let us know what you think will take the Samsung stage in June.
