After numerous leaks, Warner Bros. Interactive and Rocksteady Studios officially announced Batman: Return to Arkham a couple of weeks ago.
The collection, which will launch for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on July 26, will include remastered editions of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City. Screenshots of the remastered games have already been compared with the original titles, and the images show just how much of an upgrade Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City received.
The third installment in Rocksteady's successful Batman franchise is apparently also getting an upgrade, as Batman: Arkham Knight Game of the Year Edition was spotted in a listing on Amazon Germany.
According to the listing, the title will be released on July 28 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and similarly to Batman: Return to Arkham, there is no mention that it will be coming to the PC. The game also does not appear on the United States version of Amazon.
Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City also received Game of the Year editions. If the game is real, and if it would follow how the previous Game of the Year editions looked, then it would also be coming with all the DLC that was released for Batman: Arkham Knight.
Warner Bros. Interactive and Rocksteady Studios have not yet confirmed the game, which could place it in a similar situation with Batman: Return to Arkham wherein all fans of the franchise already knew about it but were still waiting for an official announcement.
It took about a month before Warner Bros. Interactive and Rocksteady Studios confirmed the existence of Batman: Return to Arkham from the first leak regarding the remastered titles, and hopefully it does not take as long for the companies to officially announce Batman: Arkham Knight Game of the Year Edition.
