Acer first unveiled the Liquid Zest Plus last month through the company's global press conference video. Underneath that handful of a name, the Android-powered smartphone packed impressive features, including a massive 5,000 mAh battery.
The Liquid Zest Plus is the upgraded version of Acer's entry-level Liquid Zest, with better features and specifications compared to the earlier smartphone. It comes in two colors, namely Moroccan Blue and Andes White.
The device is powered by the MediaTek MT6735 chipset, with a quad-core 1.3GHz Cortex A53 CPU and the Mali T720 GPU. The device's memory stands at 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage that is expandable, and it is powered by Android 6.0 Marshmallow right out of the box.
The HD display of the Liquid Zest Plus measures 5.5 inches, with the smartphone packing a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The camera system of the device features a hybrid tri-focusing system, which makes it able to focus on different parts of a shot within 0.03 seconds. There is also the "Pause N Shoot" selfie mode, which detects faces automatically and then sets a timer, allowing selfies to be taken entirely with one hand.
The massive 5,000 mAh battery of the Liquid Zest Plus will allow the smartphone to last more than three days on a single charge, with the device able to be charged up to half of its capacity in less than one hour. The smartphone also makes use of its large battery through USB On-The-Go technology, which will allow it to charge up another device.
When Acer first unveiled the Liquid Zest Plus, it was said to have a price tag of $250 in the United States. However, upon its release in the United States in July, the smartphone's price will be $199, with no explanation from Acer on why the price was suddenly dropped.
There would be no complaints from consumers, however, as the Liquid Zest Plus is looking to prove to be a good purchase for that price.
