Lenovo Vibe C With 5-Inch Screen And Quad-Core SoC Sold By eKupi For $105

Lenovo quietly launched a new phone on the market, called the Vibe C.

The new model was spotted on a third-party online retailer, eKupi, in Croatia. However, so far, Lenovo has not made an official announcement, according to NDTV.

The Vibe C smartphone sports a five-inch HD (1280 by 720 pixels) IPS LCD display and is powered by a quad-core processor. It also comes with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of in-built storage, which can be expanded up to 32 GB of storage via microSD card. The device operates on a 2300 mAh battery and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and supports a single micro SIM.

The Vibe C has a 5 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2 megapixel front camera for selfies. It supports 4G LTE in addition to 3G, GPRS/EDGE, GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and microUSB connectivity options. Phone measurements reach up to 143.5 x 71.8 x 8.9 mm, and it is available in black.

The device has 4G capabilities and is available for preorder from eKupi, which is selling it for about $105, according to GSMArena. Shipments are set to begin on May 18.

The Vibe smartphone series has seen success in a number of markets, including India. In April, Lenovo had sold 500,000 units of the Vibe K4 Note smartphone, which became available in India back in January. Besides the Lenovo Vibe K4 Note, the Chinese company also said that it sold more than 100,000 units of the Ant virtual reality headsets that individually went up for sale via Amazon India.

Lenovo also launched the Zuk Z1 smartphone in India in April, priced at just a little over $200. It ran Cyanogen OS 12.1, which is based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, meaning users have the option to customize their phones.

Last year, Lenovo released the A2010, which was one of the most affordable 4G smartphones on the market at the time, according to Softpedia. The device featured a 4.5-inch screen, with a quad-core MediaTek SoC racking up 1 GHz and ran Android Lollipop 5.1. The A2010's camera specifications were similar to the Vibe C, but the phone operated on a less powerful battery of 2000 mAh.
