Reese's Plans On Putting Reese's Pieces Inside Its Peanut Butter Cups

Reese's has just the thing for those who just can't shake their cravings for peanut butter and chocolate: the company's iconic peanut butter cups will now have Reese's Pieces inside of them.

Although this new treat doesn't exist yet, Reese's began teasing the concept of the product on its Facebook page. That post garnered a lot of comments, to which Reese's replied in kind, although most replies were just more teasers. It seems that Reese's won't confirm that this is something that will actually exist, but it also seems that the company is testing the waters on the idea: is this something that consumers want?

Most might argue that the original peanut butter cups are good enough as is, but others might want to indulge in more peanut butter and chocolate goodness than they can handle. The original Reese's dates all the way back to 1928, so, with such a long history, it's good to change things up from time to time. Also, it's not like that the original peanut butter cups will go off the market: Reese's has often offered alternatives to one of America's favorite snacks.

One Facebook user also leaked a photo of what the final product will look like:

This shows both the regular size Reese's, as well as the Big Cup (which would probably contain even more Pieces).

"Would Reese's make consumer dreams come true and bring together two beloved favorites — Cups and Pieces — into one mind-blowing delicious cup of goodness?" Reese's asked in an email to Eater. "You'll just have to keep watching as it unfolds!"

If the Reese's Pieces inside Reese's Cups does unfold, snackers can expect to find them in stores in July. Judging from the comments on Reese's Facebook page, these will probably go quickly, so be sure to keep an eye out.

Although this product concept may seem odd, it's still definitely a better idea than KFC's chicken crust pizza or Krispy Kreme's bacon hotdog donut.
