'Grand Theft Auto V' arriving on PS4, Xbox One Nov. 17, boasting more wildlife, weapons and weather (Video)

After managing to squeeze every ounce of processing power out of the last-gen console, Rockstar is preparing to wrap up its new-gen rework of Grand Theft Auto V and has announced a Nov. 18 release date for its latest open-world adventure game.

Oh, and it's still coming to PCs at some point, says Rockstar.

Rockstar promises the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of GTA V have more wildlife, enhanced foliage, new weapons, additional activities, more dynamic weather, more complex damage, more vehicles and more traffic, according to Rockstar.

The game's 17 radio stations will be infused with 100 more songs and mixes from the game's DJs. Rockstar says it also reworked GTAV's online component for new-gen consoles.

"Enhancements to Grand Theft Auto Online include an increased player count, with online play now for up to 30 players on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One," Rockstar says. "All existing gameplay upgrades and Rockstar-created content released since the launch of Grand Theft Auto Online will also be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC with much more to come."

Los Santo and Blaine County will be rendered in a higher resolution and with a longer draw distance, which is literally the game's ability to render distant objects and details.

Xbox 360 and PS3 owners who couldn't get enough of waving around guns in their underpants on the streets of Los Santos can migrate their last-gen characters into the remastered version of the game on Xbox One, PS4 or PC -- yes, some people are extremely passionate about the franchise.

"A host of new, exclusive content also awaits for players returning from the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions, including rare versions of classic vehicles to collect from across the Grand Theft Auto series such as the Dukes, the Dodo Seaplane and a faster, more maneuverable Blimp; activities including wildlife photography and new shooting range challenges, new weapons and more," says Rockstar.

GTA V launches roughly a year after Rockstar was flooded by $800 million in revenue from day one sales of the game on PS3 and Xbox 360.

After it omitted a PC release date in the game's latest trailer, Rockstar has confirmed that GTA V will be released on Windows on Jan. 27, 2015. PC gamers who feel Rockstar is still having a bit of fun at their expense have more leeway to upgrade to 4k standards and the developer has more time to pump more pretty into the unbounded version of the game.
