It's FIFA's fans turn to celebrate as the PC demo for FIFA 15 is released Tuesday exactly two weeks before the full game launches.
As a successor, FIFA 15 undoubtedly features improvements over FIFA 14, most notable of which is the use of the Ignite engine. In FIFA 14, the Ignite engine was only used on console versions of the game, leaving out PC gamers. With the engine now being used on the PC version of FIFA 15, PC players will now experience what Ignite is capable of.
Alongside the download for the PC demo, Origin also released system requirements for FIFA 15. Minimum requirements call for: an Intel Q6600 Core2 Quad 2.4Ghz processor or the equivalent of an AMD Phenom 7950 Quad Core or Athlon II X4 620; 4GB RAM; and an ATI Radeon HD 5770 or NVIDIA GTX 650 video card.
Recommended requirements bump specs to an Intel i5-2550K 3.40Ghz processor or the equivalent of an AMD FX-6350, 8GB RAM, and an AMD Radeon HD 68700 or an NVIDIA GTX 460.
General requirements include: DirectX 11.0, an 8x speed DVD-ROM, 13GB of hard drive space, I/O gear like a dual analogue gamepad and a VOIP headset, and Windows Vista, 7, 8, and 8.1 64-bit.
Those playing the PC demo will also catch a glimpse of team ratings for Manchester City, Liverpool, and Chelsea. Manchester City and Chelsea are, of course, five-star teams but Liverpool's stuck at 4.5 stars, what with Luis Suarez headed for Spain.
As for stats, Machester City and Chelsea both have 83 for attack, 81 for defense, and 82 for midfield, while Liverpool checks in with 81 for attack, 79 for defense, and 79 for midfield.
Another sneak peak the PC demo offers is the amount of emotion overflowing from the game. Maybe it's EA Sports getting influenced by The Sims 4? Well, winning does always call for a celebration, even if they are weird. One of the weird celebrations FIFA 15 PC players will see is the Old Man. There's also a bit about flag bothering for those interested in that.
The FIFA 15 Ultimate Team Edition is available for pre-order only from Origin. The Ultimate Team Edition comes with bonuses like 40 Gold FIFA Ultimate Team packs, each featuring players, celebrations, stadiums, and more. Gold packs are essential for unlocking rare items in the game.
FIFA 15 is due to come out on Sept. 23.
