'Rainbow Six Siege' DLC Announcement Confirmed For Friday: Where To Watch

Rainbow Six Siege took its time before confirming its next DLC, and Ubisoft promises to announce the second DLC of the commended game no later than April 22.

Rumors about the second DLC hinted that the package was coming in April, and it remains to be seen if the information stands.

A lot of people look forward to today's announcement for the details about the upcoming DLC, and Ubisoft says the announcement will take place during a special segment at the Pro League live stream.

Aside from finding out the details of the future DLC, you may enjoy some killer matches from the world's best Rainbow Six players by tuning into the official competition Twitch channel on April 22. According to Ubisoft, the streaming will begin at 9:30 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time.

The Xbox One Pro League of Rainbow Six Siege will ask for the top two teams of each region to head to Boston for the Season One finals, with the last man/team standing taking the trophy home. The winner will be granted the Season One championship title, as well as a prize of $50,000.

It should be reminded that Ubisoft is not a stranger to missing deadlines. The initial Rainbow Six Siege DLC, dubbed Operation Black Ice, missed its release window in January and reached gamers in February. It was themed around the Canadian special ops.

"Operation Black Ice, which gives you access to the new Yacht map, two new JTF2 operators, new weapon skins, a spectator camera on all platforms and more," said Ubisoft.

There is a strong chance that the new expansion will also bring two Operators to the table, amongst other goodies. Players look forward to DLCs for reasons other than new maps and features, however.

Via DLCs, game developers also can send out bug fixes and general improvements, granting a better gameplay experience for their cliets. Operation Black Ice did resolve some known issues, and it is plausible that Ubisoft will patch the game with its second DLC as well.

Ubisoft flaunts its enthusiasts about presenting the finals at PAX East, and we can be sure that gamers are just as excited about the competition and the DLC announcement.
