Bethesda recently released detailed information on what to expect from the Dark Brotherhood downloadable content (DLC) for The Elder Scrolls Online (TESO).
"Your talent for homicide has been noticed, and an invitation has arrived - to join the Dark Brotherhood in The Elder Scrolls Online," the promotion writes.
(SPOILER WARNING! For players who want to discover the location of the guild on their own, we strongly advise that you skip the following paragraph.)
For others who want to get their assassination gameplay on and can't be bothered with trivial matters, players will have to visit the westernmost region of the Old Empire, Gold Coast, where the Dark Brotherhood resides. Here, you'll find two unlocked areas, Anvil and Kvatch, from the previous The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and "opportunity, intrigue ... and murder."
As all players of The Elder Scrolls Online already know, the DLC will come in two packages: the DLC game pack and the base game patch.
The Dark Brotherhood DLC will allow players to join the brotherhood and become an assassin for hire, open to all characters of any level.
New content and quests, along with repeatable ones, will have players running through Tamriel again to accomplish these tasks, defeat new group bosses, and conquer additional delves.
Dark Brotherhood assassins will also get an exclusive passive skill series as well as unique costumes, item sets and motifs based on the new faction.
For some of the base game patches: players can now make poisons to use against foes; some balance improvements to gameplay mechanics including the Fighters Guild skill set; an option to lock items to avoid accidental deconstruction; ESO Plus members can now have crafting bags; and the removal of veteran ranks, among many others.
The last available DLC for the game was released just this March called the Thieves Guild.
