Subscribers to the Xbox Live Gold service will be able to play The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited for free this weekend.
The chance to play the game for free is part of the Free Plays promotion of Xbox Live Gold. Gamers looking to take advantage of the promotion can play The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited for free beginning 9:00 AM PT on Dec. 10 until 11:59 PM PT on Dec. 13.
Over that timeframe, Xbox Live Gold subscribers will be able to explore Tamriel, including Skyrim and the Black Marsh. Gamers could band together to search through ruins and dungeons, with hours of quests available from staples in the series such as the Fighters Guild and the Mages Guild.
Gamers will also be able to challenge the game's dangerous bosses, or just chill and instead visit the many beautiful locations that Tamriel has to offer.
In the blog post announcing the Free Play Weekend with The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited, it was also stated that users spending time to play the game for free will be made eligible to win $1,000,000, along with other prizes, in the #MillionReasonsToPlay giveaway by Bethesda.
The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited will also be sold at a discount for the entire week, with gamers that enjoy playing the title and end up purchasing it allowed to continue where they left off in the free version of the game. Gamers will be able to keep all the progress and their character, along with achievements that have been unlocked and Gamerscore.
As the weekend comes, gamers can begin to download The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited through the Gold Member area on the Xbox One's home dashboard. Gamers can also opt to download the game directly through the Xbox store.
The Elder Scrolls Online arrived to the Xbox One, along with to the PlayStation 4, after around a year from being launched for the PC.
