Google Store has finally listed the Huawei watch for women on its website. Capped under "Coming Soon" tagline, this piece of wearable tech is a perfect blend of fashion and technology, but there has been no mention of the exact date of shipping yet.
The Chinese company had targeted the smartwatch section long ago and had rolled out its first line of stylish Android Wear smartwatches last year. Now the sleek line for women has made its way to the Google store, after doing its rounds on some of the Chinese websites last week.
The redesigned women's wear, while not differing from the original Huawei Watch much, has been launched in two variants: Watch Elegant and Watch Jewel. While the Jewel has been aptly named with its Swarovski crystal-embedded bezel and a white leather band, the Elegant sports a textured bezel and a blue band. Going by the pictures, there doesn't seem to be an all-metallic model for women. However, both leather-strap models come with a rose gold-plated finish and a sapphire crystal display.
The Huawei watches for women are a bit more curvy with narrower straps more suited for women's naturally smaller wrists. However, the makers have sized them at 44mm instead of the usual feminine size of 42mm.
In terms of specifications, the women's line does not really differ from the original release. All watches feature a 1.4-inch circular display and run on a 300 mAh battery. The smart features are powered by the Snapdragon 400 CPU paired with 512 MB of RAM.
The Watch Elegant and Watch Jewel prices will reportedly start from $500 and $600 respectively, a little above the starting price of $350 for the original Huawei Watch. For now, the wait is on for Google Store to take down the "Coming Soon" banner and replace it with a specific date for these gadgets being up for grabs.
