Google Calendar Reminders Now Available On Web, With The Same Features As On Android And iPhone

The Google Calendar Reminders feature is now available on the web, enabling users to keep track of their to-do lists along with events.

Users will now be able to set reminders across other Google services that include Google Now, Inbox and Keep. The same reminders can now appear in the calendar, which should keep users informed of the things that they need to do within the day. Moreover, users will continue seeing the reminders at the top of their calendar until they accomplish the scheduled tasks for the day.

"If a reminder isn't completed, it will appear at the top of your calendar until you mark it done," says Google in an official blog post.

Back in December, Google added Reminders to the Google Calendar for users of Android and iPhone devices. In the latest announcement, Google said that the same features of Google Calendar Reminders on Android and iPhone can also be enjoyed on the web.

According to Google, Reminders, just like on Android and iPhone, stick around, work across Google and sync with mobile.

Adding the Reminders functionality of Google Calendar on the web will offer users an easier way to stay on track from just about anywhere, anytime. Users can create a reminder on their devices and view the same content on the web and vice versa.

Google Calendar users on Android and iOS devices will continue getting notifications and have them sync the changes with the notifications on their PC. For instance, users who choose to receive notifications on their phone 60 minutes before an event can also see the notification pop up on their PC at the same time.

The new functionality may also help increase the number of Google Calendar users who want to view reminders across several platforms. Likewise, the launch could place Google Calendar Reminders one step ahead of its rivals that include Wunderlist and Outlook of Microsoft and the Reminders app of Apple on iOS and Mac devices.

"With Reminders alongside your events on the web, Android and iPhone, you now have a single way to manage your day," says Google.

Google's rollout of Google Calendar Reminders on the web is slated to commence in one to two weeks. Users should be able to see the rollout to be completed in one to three days from the time it starts.
