New ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Photos Show Mockingbird Taking Control

On March 7, ABC released promotional photos for the Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episode 13, which is set to air on March 22, and it is just hinting so much at the possibility that it may be the biggest turning point and the launch pad for Agent Barbra "Bobbie" Morse and ex-husband and fellow agent, Lance Hunter, towards Marvel's Most Wanted.

The network released a total of 20 photos for the episode titled "Parting Shot," as well as a brief synopsis that centers on Bobbie, also known as "Mockingbird," and Hunter. With the announcement that the Bobbi and Hunter-centric Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. spin-off is really moving forward, we know it is only a matter of time before the two would split from the team and the synopsis and photos seem to be hinting that this is it.

"Bobbi and Hunter become ensnared in an assassination plot after tracking Malick to Russia," the synopsis reads.

It is actually not that much of a synopsis but followers of the series know that Bobbie has already been a part of a plot to form a "True S.H.I.E.L.D." along with Mack when she began doubting Coulson's ability to lead S.H.I.E.L.D. and that she was also good enough to fool Hydra when she worked her way up their ranks while working undercover for S.H.I.E.L.D. to make sure that Jemma Simmons can be extracted safely if she is found out.

From the stills, it seems Bobbi is in her element again — being awesome at undercover work — while Malick meets up with men who seem to be as shady as he is. Then there is Mockingbird lurking about and conveniently dressed to blend in with the other uniformed men. Then there's also another photo of her looking like she just effortlessly beat the heck out of someone.

But here is where the plot could change: the plot of Marvel's Most Wanted tells of Bobbi and Hunter's adventures as they attempt to expose the plot which endangered their lives and in "Parting Shot," these two are in for a ride when they are caught up in an assassination plot. Even the title could be interpreted as Bobbi and Hunter's turning point.

Whatever happens in episode 13, we already know that they probably won't be coming back as part of the team for the fourth season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. otherwise their names would have been in the official announcement of its renewal.
