Remedy has no plans to release a Quantum Break DLC, at least not for the time being.
In an interview with RedBull Games, Thomas Puha, the communication director at Remedy, was asked if a DLC for the title can be expected. While Puha confirmed that there are no plans for a DLC release, the publisher somehow has some plans on the future of the title.
According to Puha, there are usually a number of ideas that are being discussed during those initial stages when they were creating the game. However, Puha also believes that applying these ideas on the game are "way more than humanly possible."
"We are very happy with what we are shipping, but there have definitely been challenges along the way," said Puha in the interview. "We don't have any DLC plans, but that's not to say we don't have plenty of ideas for the future of Quantum Break."
Quantum Break, as explained by Puha, is a "story-driven single-player game." On the game's storyline, it mentioned how the game's protagonist, Jack Joyce, had to beat time to "prevent the Fracture from reaching its conclusion." It also mentioned how Jack's best friend Paul Serene and the evil Monarch Solutions will use every means possible to stop him.
"Time has been broken," reads the game's storyline on its official site. "A Fracture in time, created by a time travel experiment that has gone wrong, is advancing at an inexorable pace. As a result, time itself is now stuttering to a halt and then restarting, causing the world to turn into a frozen tableau. Most are unaware of the imminent disaster."
Lately, Microsoft confirmed that the sci-fi adventure game, which features the protagonist's ability to pause time, is launching on both the Xbox One and Windows 10 on April 5. This means that PC players would have to make sure that they have migrated over to Windows 10 in order to start playing the title.
The company adds that it is also giving a limited preorder deal for the game's digital version. Players who preorder the game's Xbox One version through the Xbox Store will automatically qualify to receive a free Windows 10 version of the game, which they can download at the Windows Store with the use of a redemption code.
